1986 ❖ FLOWERS ON HER PARADE HAT ❖

Worker bees,
Marlyn and Henry Hoffman.
4th of July parade festivities, 1986
Shaw Island, Washington.

Marlyn was president of Shaw Islanders Incorporated, this summer, soon to deliver a dedication speech for the official opening of the new island-funded Community Building. It was a long process and the mob was a happy one.
This was also the summer of the marriage of the Hoffman's firstborn on the home farm, but here is the mother of the bride—leading the parade with flowers from her large garden decorating her parade hat and Henry driving the famous "boom truck." The couple was always packed with great community spirit.
